Katerina Vrana is Greek. But she doesn’t live in Greece. Katerina lives in the UK but she isn’t British. Are we clear? Good. Katerina might have Greek roots but thanks to her parents concern over her looks as a baby she is full of personality (they thought she better have a good one). Varous native English speakers visited the young Katerina for tea and conversation. Whish is why she is so prepared should her Royal Highness ever invite her to tea.
Katerina’s foreigner status means she can make great observations on the British lifestyle (fellow Britains, we’ve baffled the rest of the world with our bathroom and plumbing choices – when I moved abroad I was asked if it was true we carpeted our bathrooms…). However having spent over a decade in the UK Katerina is able to put into hilarious context the various British quirks she has encountered. Alongside with several Greek ones.
Feta with the Queen charts Katerina’s preference for Prince Harry, her Greekness, her adopted Englishness, her hair and her acting career. A career for which casting directors regularly find her “not Greek enough”.
This high energy show will have your giggling and questioning your culture…
