With her penchant for the classic comedy and slapstick of family entertainment it seems natural that Miranda Hart’s name should come up for consideration to revive 'The Generation Game'.

Miranda is in early talks with the BBC to become the first woman host of the game show. Past hosts have been Bruce Forsyth, Larry Grayson and Jim Davidson. Miranda’s certainly got the catchphrases for the game show!

Miranda has in fact already appeared on 'The Generation Game' as a contestant with her on screen mother Patricia Hodge in a one off charity show hosted by Vernon Kay for Comic Relief 2012

Miranda told Brucie last year in an interview that she and her family used to watch 'The Generation Game', calling it “one of the greatest game shows ever”

However, don’t start campaigning your family to enter 'The Generation Game' just yet, a BBC spokesman said: "It's in the early ideas stage at the moment. Nothing is confirmed and no series [is] planned."

We think it would be nice to see her host the show. Didn’t she do well?
