This year Halloween is on a week night, Thursday to be precise. I've checked the weather and it looks like it is going to be drizzly. So we recommend you skip the dressing up, close the curtains, turn out the lights (it fools any trick or treaters) and stay in to watch E4's brand new sitcom 'Drifters'.
'Drifters' tells the story of three best friends living in Leeds. They have graduated and taken a year out and are now struggling to find the following: a job that doesn't suck, a half decent place to live and a boyfriend, specifically one they actually like.
Written by and starring Jessica Knappet, a founding member of sketch group Lady Garden, 'Drifters' looks set to lift the lid on life for women in their mid-twenties negotiating the leap from temping to career. Meg (Knappet), her eccentric cousin Bunny (Lydia Rose Bewley) and their friend Laura (Lauren O'Rourke) will be taking us through the gory details of dressing up as a mobile phone to pay the rent, chasing the men of their dreams but dating the men of their nightmares and still living at home with the parents, played by Bob Mortimer and Arabella Weir.
If you can't wait for Thursday visit www.suchadrifter.com to test your own drifter status. Do you think 'Countdown' is a breakfast show? Is your name the only true thing on your CV? You can confess on the site, test fellow Drifters with fun questions and share your own experiences as a Drifter on the site.
Sounds like a great procrastination device to put off updating your CV right? But wait! There's more. Suchadrifter.com are running a competition for the active contributors on the site to write a blog post on one of the topics used on the Drifters sitcom – such as relationships, living with your parents and job hunting. Your entry will not only appear on the official Drifters website, but also be linked to E4's official website. You could even win £100 for your trouble! Maybe you could buy some smart interview clothes with that…
Drifters starts on Thursday, 31st October on E4
