An inordinately out-there woman with very colourful language marries an extremely cautious devout man. They are culturally and geographically from different planets, though they are for all practical purposes called 'Indian'. She says it was an arranged marriage. He says it wasn't. Despite numerous interventions the matter remains unsettled.
They have 2 children; the younger one has very skinny legs – handy for out-running her sometimes murderous but permanently pissed off sibling and grows up to be almost the tallest woman in India. Her name is Sindhu.
Unsurprisingly, Sindhu has always had people laugh at her. In 2012 she decided to see if she could elicit this response on purpose. And that journey has brought her here….to the final of the Funny Women Awards 2013.
