Dotty Winters is one of our 13 Funny Women Awards finalists:
"At the start of 2013 I decided to choose something that scares me, and do it. In March I did my first ever gig in front of an audience. Six months and almost 40 gigs later I am preparing for the Funny Women finals, and I'm still almost certain I ended up in this position as a result of some catastrophic clerical error (heads will roll when they find out).
I can't help thinking I must have always secretly wanted to do this, and it's certainly useful to have found an outlet for all the 'wrong', which would otherwise escape into my daily conversations and interactions."
