It's mid-August, which means our trip up to Edinburgh for the Funny Women Pop-Up Fringe has finally arrived! Here at Funny Women HQ, we’re eagerly planning what to see around our action-packed programme. Although the Fringe promises new material from some of our favourite comedians, we’re equally excited about all the new acts taking their very first solo shows up this year.

One of those acts is Cynthia Levin, whose show Unprepared for Life tells the story of how, after a lifetime of living by the seat of her pants, she decided to make the big move to London and prepare for a life more grounded in reality.

Cynthia Levin is a Chicago-born stand-up comic, actress and director. Having spent the majority of her career in LA and New York, she has written and performed no less than 7 one-woman shows stateside. She has also featured on Comedy Central, ABC and BET and has appeared in multiple films, plays and even a stint on reality TV. We predict big things for Cynthia this side of the pond – catch her while you can!

“When you watch her, you see an act that is distinguished by a palpable honesty. Her delivery is polished (sometimes profane). This is a performer both self-assured and smart.”Chicago Tribune

“Cynthia Levin is my favourite comic you should have heard of.”subvert.com

You can catch Unprepared for Life at Whynot? as part of PBH's Free Fringe, from 11-24th August at 13:45. For more information and to book tickets, click HERE.
