Don't worry, nobody's asking you to do a short notice 13 mile run! Rise UK is looking for volunteers to staff a Water Station during the Brighton Half Marathon, and wants to have as many Cheer Points as possible throughout the route as well. Your main duties, as a Cheer Volunteer (Cheer-teer?) will be to hand out jelly beans to flagging runners, cheer loudly and make a lot of noise! Drums, vuvuzelas, whistles, saucepans lids recommended!

On Sunday 17th February 200 Team Rise runners will take on the challenge of the Brighton Half Marathon to raise money for Rise.  Wearing their distinctive raspberry running vests, they will be easily spotted in the crowds.

We  can't guarantee you won’t get cold, and yes it is a Sunday morning, perhaps a little earlier than you are used too ….but we can guarantee you will be inspired by each runner you see, the vast majority have a human story to tell and are raising money for people and causes.  You will also be helping Rise to support runners raising an enormous amount of money for Rise.  You might even have a good time!

To volunteer please email julie.hales@riseuk.org.uk – we look forward to hearing from you!
