Our final day at the Fringe has arrived; much to our surprise as we have often felt like this day would never make an appearance. A rollercoaster of emotions, we have experienced so many great things in Edinburgh this month and have had the time of our lives. A tough Fringe for everyone involved, the Funny Women team have faced challenges but have always come together at the end to get things done and to make sure that everyone is having fun!

As someone who had never been to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe before, I think it is fair to say that my initial experience was a mix of overwhelming emotions and anticipation. However, the city during festival time feels so welcoming that those feelings soon dissipated and I am suddenly struggling to remember what life was like before the Fringe. Although that may just be because I have been here far too long!

Funny Women has made some fantastic friends this year’s Fringe. We’d like to thank everyone who was involved in our Funny Women at the Fringe shows and who made them such a delight to be a part of. To all of our magnificent acts and to everyone behind the scenes, thank you for getting involved and for helping us celebrate female comedy!

A special thank you also to our wonderful sponsors, Benefit Cosmetics. Bringing the glamour and fun every day while they were here, we absolutely loved having the lovely Benebabes here with us in their Benebus and have missed them terribly ever since they left!

As it is our last official day at the Fringe we would love to go out with a bang and what better way than to give our very own lara A king her biggest audience yet! As mentioned in previous blog posts, lara is here in Edinburgh as the Funny Women Awards Winner of 2011 with her show ‘People Pleaser’ which has received 4 star reviews from Three Weeks and Broadway Baby! Come and show her support in her final show today at 2pm, Bosco Tent, Assembly George Square Gardens!! Tickets are available either online or from the Assembly Box Office.
