It’s been almost a year since we launched the first of our Funny Women Challenges in which we challenge  women from business and all walks of life to pick up a microphone and perform stand up for the first time.

We have once again joined forces with The Victoria Foundation, a local medical charity to challenge a new group of women to perform at our next event on Tuesday 1st November. This will take place in the luxurious setting of Cannizaro House. Proceeds raised from this event will go to the Foundation to fund a number of local projects.

Our team of mentors are currently in the process of training up five women from business and the community to release their inner funny and deliver to a paying audience. Mentors include two contestants from this year’s Funny Women Awards, Teresa Jennings (semi-finalist) and Janet Bettesworth (Finalist).

This event will be hosted by Janet Ellis of Blue Peter fame. So, want a list of the Challengers? Here’s one we made earlier! (Couldn’t resist)
