A gig on a Sunday night? This is utter madness surely. Isn't Sunday the day of rest – er shouldn't I be sat on the sofa watching the X Factor results? But no, I'm going back to my northern roots and gigging in my hometown, good ol' sunny Manchester, doing a show for the Manchester Comedy Festival.

It's my first time at this festival and I can't wait. If it's good enough for Peter Kay, then it's good enough for me! Though thinking about it, I best not have my usual, debauched Saturday night out but must get my beauty/comedy sleep so that I can channel my inner Lady Gaga at Zoo (Sunday 23rd October, 8.00pm kick off) and sing cheeky songs about iphones, terrorism and what's wrong with Ellie Goulding. Also performing that night are personal faves of mine, sketch duo Slap & Giggle (think Reeves & Mortimer meets Flight of the Conchords) and the fantastic Frimston & Rowett. Good stuff. My dad's gonna love it. Let's just hope he doesn't heckle again…

For more details about my show at the Festival see HERE for details.

Then next Wednesday it's back to London to play Nice 'n Spiky at the Garage in Highbury 'n Islington (Wednesday 26th October, 8.00pm kick off). Top line up that night including Show Me The Funny's Ellie Taylor, BBC Comedy favourite Sion James and Show Me The Funny winner Patrick Monaghan. Again, see HERE for more details.

Clare Lomas.
