We have a spectacular Christmas show coming up at the New Players Theatre on December 20th. With acts that will shine brighter than your biggest baubles!

Hosting the sensational evening of entertainment will be the brilliant Kate Smurthwaite. Bringing along their own doses of Christmas cheer will be an array of hilarious talent in the form of impressionists, musical comedy, magic, character, sketch and more.

Headlining will be Kerri Godliman. Kerri was an entrant in the Funny Women Awards 2003 and has since gone on to appear on shows such as BBC’s Live at the Apollo.

Our winners of this year’s awards Thankless Child will have everyone singing along to their unconventional sea shanty. Runner up Rachel Parris will bring her musical talent and this year’s Funny Women variety act winner Gemma Whelan will show us what Chastity Butterworth has in store for us next.

Impressionist Kate O’Sullivan takes us on a speedy tour through Celebville. Quickfire impressions include Lady GaGa in her new role as a supply teacher and other celebrities as they struggle to make their next million in the recession.

Sara Pascoe was a runner up in the 2008 Funny Women Awards. “Very talented…bringing new life to the humour of misunderstandings.” Three Weeks.

All the way from Canada we have Mae Martin, named by Now magazine as one of the ‘funniest people in Toronto’.

Adding a sprinkle of magic  will be Mandy Muden with her hilarious mix of comedy and magic tricks.

Katerina Vrana – big hair, big personality. “Fizzles with verve and confident likeability,”  Chortle

Funds raised on the night will support International Women’s Day on 8th March 2011 and a coalition of leading aid charities and organisations.
