Last Saturday, Funny Women hit the Brighton Comedy Festival, wowing the audience with a fantastic line-up. Julie Jepson hosted the evening superbly…
Iona Dudley Ward delighted the audience with her hilarious characters. Dance teacher Genevive, went down a treat with a pirouette and flip when you least expect it. Lyn, the confidence coach also returned attempting to inspire confidence within the audience to no avail.
Both Sarah Hendrickx, from this year’s award finals and Kerry Herbert chatted the audience to a chuckling frenzy.
The Maydays brought mahem to the theatre in the form of a rap-off with audience participation and a sprinkling of improv in the form of songs, in one case based on the life of an audience member.
To bring the show to a brilliant end, Rachel Parris took to the stage with her keyboard, delivering hilarious songs of the horrors faced when moving house and the truth about being in a half hearted relationship.
All in all a fantastic show at the Brighton Comedy Festival and being shorter than our usual shows – we certainly filled our hour with a huge line up of fantastic female comedy talent!
