Funny Women winner (2007) Andi Osho is set to star in the new stand-up show Stand Up For The Week. The show which airs for the first time tonight on Channel 4 will be  recorded in front of a live studio audience of celebrities and politicians every week at music and club venue Koko based in Camden, London.

The show will get back to stand-up’s roots

Andi performs with comics,  Jack Whitehall, Kevin Bridges and Rich Hall, who will all  focus on different topics from the week, which include celebrity culture and the internet.  The creators of the show insist it’s nothing like Mock The Week and host Patrick Kielty says it will be “scary for everyone because we can’t prep it, rehearse it or polish it.” Proper, traditional, fly-by-the-seat of your pants  stand-up then. We’re all looking forward to it. And the promise of witnessing a key celebrity or political figure sat in The Chair..

The show airs for the next six Fridays on Channel 4 at 11.05pm.
