Congratulations to our Suzy Bennett who not only hosted Playtex’s Moon Walk, alongside Andi Osho and Miss London but also walked the Half Moon, coming in at the finishing line for 5.30 on Sunday morning… we think it might be a while until she gets her energy back to crack some jokes. Suzy and her friends from Madame Tussauds (real friends, not the waxworks) raised £1,500, a fantastic contribution towards the amount raised so far – nearly £2million.
Suzy, Andi and Miss London had an incredible time entertaining an audience of almost 20,000, a great achievement of their part and no doubt brilliant experience for their future sell-outs at Wembley one day. Perhaps, even more extraordinary was London’s ability to get the entire crowd dancing to Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ – no mean feat indeed! London said: “I love hosting! It’s too much fun! I will never forget last night for the rest of my life! Andi had such fun she forgot to get dressed properly before going home.. “I gave the man on the tube staring at me a dirty look till I realised why. Still had my frigging bra on over my top!!! The shaaaame..”
After experiencing some exceptional talent in our Liverpool heats last week, we’re off to Birmingham TONIGHT, continuing our search for the UK’s best new female comic. Local legend and renowed Take A Break reader (she’s always got some dead-handy tips!) Mrs. Barbara Nice headlines the evening and will be hotfooting it up to Manchester tomorrow night as well to host our fourth heat at the Frog and Bucket in Manchester. As she always says: “Thanks for laffin”.
